Default Tonedexter effect loop - kill dry

Hello all

I was wondering if someone could help with experience of the effect loop on tonedexter

My main question is about the effects loop. I connect an eventide timefactor and space to the loop, but when I select kill dry on the pedals it kills the dry signal entirely to the amp. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Ideally I’d like to use the kill dry function and run effects at 100% wet to blend with tonedexter signal. If I connect to the effect loop on the amp itself the killdry works as I’d expect.

My other question is on firmware. I’m on v1.33 and have not updated simply because I like the sound as it is. I’m tempted to go to v 1.4 to enhance the tuner but am wary of going further as the idea of a brighter wave map doesn’t appeal to me as I’m happy with it already. Having said this, if I did update to later versions, is it simple to reinstall v1.33 if I wanted to?

Many thanks
