Neck reset by certified vs non-certified Martin luthier?
Hey, was gifted a beautiful d28 this month. Eventually needs a reset to get the action back down a bit. There’s a guy round me that would do it for 1k, but he says he’ll have for 6-10 months, which is absurd to me since a reset takes only a few days of work. He’s Martin certified, but another great luthier living near my folks would do it for way cheaper and only take a few weeks to do it. He’s not a certified Martin guy. Does this certification reeeeally matter?
