Smile Tone…

What is the tone profile that you are aiming for in the guitar?
I have found John’s Big Guns to have a rich, FAT, thick tone.
I always tune down to D or open D or occasional drop C, as I play solo and don’t need to go up to E very often at all. And, the capo has been invented….

I expect this will sound great at any volume from a whisper to a roar.

Hanter, I like your idea about the Santos Headstock, too.

John is not wild about introducing the reds into the pallet, as no red in the back and sides….

Let’s see what John decides. He has such a fantastic eye for woods and how they work together. I am tempted to just let him use his own best judgment!

Thanks, all for your input!

Play on and have FUN

Paul
