I loved the movie Ready Player One. In fact I am going to see it once more on the big screen tomorrow before it ends its run.

A coworker urged me to read the book.

I took the book on a roadtrip when I had lots of captive hours. By page four I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down. I devoured the book with every free moment I had. One of the best books I have ever read.

And the particulars of the story differed from the movie and it felt like a completely different (but familiar) story.

I am an 80's fanatic. I love video games. This book was like the greatest creation ever made about video games, computer games, virtual reality, related social interactions. And more than that it was the best flood of 80's pop culture ever. Combined, for someone like me, it was incredible.
