Undo the strings at the headstock.
Now reach inside to feel, or use a mirror to see how they are oriented from the factory.
Do what they did.
Never assume you know how something went together.
Look at it before you take it apart.
Further, as the hole is sized for one pin, I’d think you put the thinner string in first so that you can get the other ball end into the hole. Then even them up once both ball ends are inside the guitar.

Edit: I am surprised that Taylor doesn’t have a video up yet for this procedure.
