I've decided to break a little from my "norm". Usually I like to keep my guitars simple with little adornment, but I've had and idea for a while to start a series of guitars that I will creatively call my Artist Series. Every now and then, maybe once a year, I want to build a guitar that will be a little more fancy (for lack of a better word). Something where I can get a little creative and do something unique. This first entry into my Artist Series is going to be an Art Deco themed guitar. It will be based on my Solista model. I'm using some very nice flamed European maple because I think the light, even color will be a nice canvas for the ebony inlay.
I will have to work on this guitar in the background while I build other guitars so entries on my progress here may be sporadic. Any way, I thought it would be fun to post the progress of this project as I go.
