That is true of most vintage microphones but the good 67s I've heard have al been on the darker side of what we're used to today. The real magic happens in how well they take EQ.

My words shouldn't be taken to mean the Neumann reissue is a bad mic. It just doesn't sound like a vintage 67 to me. But at $7K, I think there are better options ...one of them being saving up another $2-3k and buying a vintage 67.
