So........., after 9 months of waiting i could finally pick up my new Larrivee D40r.
It's a custom guitar; lefthanded,without pickquard and with a wide neck; 1 7/8.
But it was worth waiting for, i love it right from the start.
She sounded immediately very loud and open.
The bass is completely different than i was used to with the slope shouldered SD50 (mahogany) The D40 really has a deep bass,that was one of the things i was looking for
The guitar looks flawless,and very well made,i think we can become friends for a very long time....
I never owned a rosewood guitar before,i like the darker sound a lot.
So now i am done buying guitars, one hog one rosewood ;that should do it!!
