A local group here runs their entire mix (two guitars, a fiddle, three vocals . . . sometimes one of the guitars might be a banjo or a harmonica or a washboard) through a single L1 Compact and it sounds just fine.
Well, not the ENTIRE mix . . . the acoustic standup bass goes through its own amp.
