I pretty much stopped using a pick when I started playing fingerstyle a couple years ago. But, if it came to that, that’s what I’d do. Happily, I discovered today that after shortening my other nails to similar lengths as the broken one (not quite, but almost), I can still play … just not as loudly as before, so all’s well, more or less, that ends well.
