To answer the original question: I find ALOT of those green, orange and yellow Tortex picks on the floor or around stage areas at my gigs that other musicians have dropped. I can't stand them but a lot of people seem to like them. Fender Mediums obviously are a go-to for countless players as well.
I personally have used the grippy Jim Dunlop picks for 8 years now and probably wouldn't use anything else for basic strumming in a live setting. 4 picks on my pick holder at all times are the Dunlop .88 Grey with grip, Dunlop 1mm Black, my trusty Bluechip TP 45 for soloing and general flat picking, and a Large Dunlop Thumbpick.
