Lo fi internet audio comparisons like this don’t indicate touch responsiveness and feel if one is behind the guitar. I’ll go with Coupland’s assessment of the Gib being more mellow, and add more midrange compressed, bell like frequency response, smoother, more sophisticated, but the Epi takes no back seat for brightness or clarity. The Gib didn’t distort too well, and it shouldn’t anyway. I miss the sparkling Fender clean of the other comparison given on this thread. Coupland’s amplification is a tad synthetic, but it’s clear.
