I’m guessing that’s a small diaphragm condenser mic?, and is it plugged directly into your camera? Is there more gear than that? I’m so interested in learning how to do a good sounding video and have absolutely no clue where to begin. Not intended to hijack your thread, just so impressed with the quality of your test video.

Hi Frankie,
Well, a short version of the long answer is that I'm recording the audio into my iMac with two microphones on a stand in front of the guitar in a "mid/side" pattern. The top mic (the "mid") is indeed a small diaphragm AKG 451, and the bottom mic (the "side") is an AKG 414. The camera is also recording the audio with its built-in mic. Both are imported into logic so I can sync them both to the video, but then the camera mic's audio file is deleted so you're only hearing the external mics. I'm certainly no expert at this, just learning all this myself still.
