I bought my first X20 in 2018, for many of the same reasons as others have stated - looks, ergonomics, imperviousness to humidity changes. It turned out that I also loved the way it sounded and played.
It was quickly followed by an X20-7 - a gorgeous instrument which I never fully came to grips with. But, I did fall in love with the concept of fan frets, and commissioned my third, a fan fret six string X20 last year.
It’s the perfect amalgam of the first two, and I can’t see myself wanting for anything else acoustic for the foreseeable future.
Perhaps the most telling thing is that after buying the first one, I never once considered going with any other maker for the two subsequent instruments.
