+1! You've gotten great advice in the thread on the conventional wisdom, but be sure to experiment with the pedal order in your chain. Everyone's tonal preference and situation are different.

Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) is an example of a famous "fuzz" player who places compression after OD/distortion/fuzz.
