My only thoughts about this situation are that the people in Guitar Center are not anywhere near as knowledgable about all the brands' product lines as people on internet message boards are, and that saying people are lying generally does not make a situation better.
Sometimes they have things mislabeled (both in the store's favor and in the customer's favor at times), we have probably all seen it, but there's not a lot to be done
