Hi,

I have a set of Thomastik Infeld strings, spectrum bronze SB112, I wanted to install on my gibson J15.

Theses strings have a ball end on one side (bridge) and about 15cm kind of silk wrapped around the other end (tuner side).
For the 6th and 5th strings, the strings were long enough so these 15 cm where completely useless and I could fix the actual string (metallic without anything wrapped around it) inside the tuner.
But for the 4th string, since the tuner is a bit further, I can only fix the silk-covered part inside the tuner.

Is it the way theses strings are supposed to be installed?
I would imagine so but i couldn't find or get any info from the supplier so far.

In this case, shall I also fix the 6th and 5th using the silk-covered (which mean I would have to make few more turns around the tuner) ?
