Reminds me of this:
I had been friends with Jay Geils since 1964. Met in college. I had the opportunity to met Billy Joel with Jay several years ago. Jay introduced me to Billy telling him he and I had been friends since 1964.
Billy said: “1964. Cool. See this guy standing next to me?”
I said yes. Billy said “When we moved into our first house I was about ten. My mother gave me a quarter and told me to go make a friend. He was the first kid I met. I gave him my quarter and he’s been my friend ever since. “
May or may not be true, but it got a laugh.
