Default Update from Burton

From Burton:

"This stage is the most crucial, in my opinion- thicknessing the top before starting the bracing. I sand a bit and then fine tune with my scraper. The plates are not uniform but taper, with the thickest areas being the upper bout and the edges. The thinnest sections are right in the middle, by the bridge and just behind. I used to do the opposite but much prefer it this way.

I am always taking notes and recording the Chladni shapes. The shapes of this soundboard are extremely similar to the Braz CLM you owned for a while but this plate weighs 30 grams less. A big difference! That Hampton Bros. top is really nice

Braces are next and then the linings will get chopped up from their full side lam and installed. It could be looking like a real guitar pretty soon!
