Not to take this thread too far afield,,,, but!! ,,, Jay - that sounds amazing. I too thought about a 'tree' topped guitar, but it would have to be double topped to handle the stress on all that flat sawn figure. I'll settle for enjoying yours vicariously.
More than one 'tree'? Truly needed..! My cedar topped Baranik will be joined in 2013 by the spruce-topped McKnight, and later by the LS topped Mayes. The big three...
But none of mine will have the dress-up style of this Olson! (Did you like how I brought the post back around to the thread topic? Subtlety was never my strong point....)
