well it takes artistic liberties but looks like it was translated by someone fluent, and maybe from someone who actually sung it. For example 'horse as fast as polished steel' turns into fast as a bullet...but it gets the point across. The whole exercise would be how it sounded...not how it's translated. I've deep searched on google mexico...found a version in portuguese ....which is similar enough that most mexicans get alot of it.
