Today I was examining an 18 year old young man who told me he was in his first semester of pharmacy school. Naturally I corrected with “you mean pre-pharm, right?”
“Nope! I took college classes all the way thru high school and every summer, so I had enough hours to be admitted to pharmacy school!”
When I pulled my chin up off the floor, I commended his accomplishments and said, “ Guess you don’t have much time left over for hobbies like guitars and such?”
“Oh, but I do love guitars! I just picked up a D-15 for just $500!”
“You have a Martin D-15 mahogany?”
So then I went on to tell him about my D-15, the neck reset, and giving it to my son. We bonded over several of my guitar pick stories, and of course I gave him a pick!
So today I learned that geniuses can love guitars as much as me. I felt my IQ go up a point or two right then and there!
