I agree with this. Also, I formerly used the “locking” restringing method where you go over and under the string at the winding peg before winding.
Don’t use this method w Titaniums because you have to pull that loose end tight and at an angle....the titanium G-String snapped right at the bend when I pulled it tight, never had that happen before in 45 years......(I no longer use the locking method on any strings.)
