Agreed, and thank you for advice.

Regarding the Tascam, and home recorders in general, a number of reviewers wrote that they bought the Dean acoustic bass specifically for the purpose of home recording. (Many reported enjoying the Dean once they changed strings).

It seems that there are a few of us who are enjoying multi track recording and wanted to add a bass behind the recordings.

I had some fun with "When Did You Leave Heaven?" with vocals using the Tascam condenser mic with the DP 004.

I recorded it once with the Condenser mic and once with the built in mic. The sound of both were similar but the condenser mic seemed to pick up less background noise.

Although I live off a street, with the windows open, there is background noise of the occasional car passing by picked up by the internal mics. Due to the sticky warmth, I didn't want to close my windows, as I was just enjoying playing with the DP 004.

I have been playing with settings and getting more comfortable. I even found a nice bass pattern to the above song.
