I have a Bashkin OM with fanned frets and it would have been too tight to do the new spacing (which K&K started recommending around 2010). It was super tight in the old recommendation. My Bashkin has a smaller-than-usual bridge plate.

I think there's room to play there anyway. The Seagull S6 has no issues.
