I would never buy a guitar that had purposely been beat up just to make it look old or well used. But some people like the look. If no one were interested in these guitars, makers would not keeping making them. Somebody wants these guitars.
To me, it's not worth any personal frustration. It's simply another buying choice, one I'm not interested in.
