When I hear music, I'm like a kid in a candy store - everything looks good. I find interesting things in even the most insipid music, and I've always been that way. I can honestly say that there's no single sound that shaped me. I still hear things that I don't know, and I get that "wow, that's cool" feeling all over again, just like the first time I heard Chet Atkins or AC/DC or the Beatles. When you get old, there aren't a lot of things that still seem fresh and new and surprising, but a good guitar tone from a good player with a different perspective is one of them.
