Hey Varmonter--Congrats on the new/used Shorty. is a great guitar in my opinion and I would still have mine if not for the neck. If you like a beefy neck profile I bet you will dig it. I can't give direct information on a soundhole pup because mine was equipped with a K&K.
As far as soundhole pups, I've seen a couple examples. There was a guy who sold a Shorty a couple years back (user handle joeguam) who sold his Shorty here equipped with a Baggs M1.
