Check out the special-order Martin 000-28H, regularly available at Maury's Music and My Favorite Guitars. I love mine! Has my preferred 1-11/16-inch short-scale neck, scalloped braces, herringbone trim, etc. Very full, rich, balanced sound, not at all what you might expect from a small-body guitar. Maybe the scalloped braces are why it has such nice tone and volume.
I got mine from MFG because their version had the ivoroid binding I liked, with that off-white color. Maury's version has the white binding. Minor difference.
