The OM was designed as a response to the Gibson L-5 etc, but didn't cut the mustard and was discontinued shortly after, when the did the same redesign on the dreadnought. .
Rediscovered in the '70s (?) and favoured by some fingerpickers. Obviously for this purpose they should have a wider neck.
