I played a J45 studio, J45 Standard, G45, and a Hummingbird in the same room on the same day. None of them came close to the standard.
I really wanted to like the bird, and it was just ok. The Studio and the G45 weren't that impressive.
I'm a huge Gibson fan, but the variants and the Bird left me unimpressed that day. However, different examples of the same models could yield different results.
