Hey Bruce,
We have a 1954 Dormeyer “Siver Chef” stand mixer.
It’s the only mixer we own, so it’s still used quite often.
It was my wife’s grandmothers, then mother’s, and then hers.
It’s still a great machine. I do most of the cooking, so I say that
from experience.
It sold for 52.75 in 1954. Adjusted for inflation, that equates to
around 490.00 in 2019 dollars! But it was obviously built to last.
