Big Head Todd playing a CF Guitar
We went to see my favorite band last week (Big Head Todd & the Monsters), and we were pleasantly surprised to see Todd playing a Blackbird. He used it on a few tunes that he usually uses a National Resophonic. He was running it through his pedal board, and the tones ranged from acoustic to raw and cutting electric with a slide. You just couldn't get all those tones from the resonator, or a conventional acoustic.
Have seen him using a SG Doubleneck at times, and it would have been cool to have seen him using an Emerald Chimaera, or X20-OS. There are usually YouTube vids of his new stuff, so I'm sure with a new album in the works there will be vids of him playing the Blackbird.
It is great to see the CF Wave gaining momentum! I am really gassing for an Emerald X7-OS now.
