I'd go for the 414 because I prefer guitars with a 1 3/4" nut, no cutaway and no factory electronics. You can always have a guitar tech add electronics to the 414. The 414 is all solid woods while the 214 will have laminated back and sides which may or may not translate into a tonal difference. You'll have to decide which one better meets your needs...
