Speaking of loud concerts and hearing loss......fall of 1976, a triple bill of 38 Special, the Charlie Daniels Band and Lynryd Skynrd in a small theater. They all played full length sets. My ears rang for weeks.

One of my roommates was a quiet kid who had never been to a live concert before. He was physically sick afterwards, and not from the booze.
