For sure, Barry! You've hit the nail on the head. Too much reverb and we lose the clarity and body of our tone but just a little and it's magic!

Since first encountering this concept I've tried to incorporate sprinklings of reverb and delay, mainly because I really dislike the "cave" effect that reverb causes, even when applied conservatively. Voxengo has a couple of delay plugins that are easy to use and Logic's (my DAW) stock delays get the job done too. Food for thought at least.
