If I was fortunate enough to own a Kestrel, I'd slap a set of D'Addario Chrome Lights on it, and use that as my electric benchmark.
If you're playing it in a more acoustic vein, I'd try D'Addario Nickel Bronze Lights first. They work beautifully on my X20.
