I own many V-Picks and they don't perform that way for me, and I'm a flat-pick strummer. They make no more noise than any pick but they stay glued to your fingers and are rock steady in your hand.
I use a Traditional Ultra Lite for my acoustics and prefer them over my Blue Chips. I use other thicker picks for my electrics and they deliver great solid tone.
Very affordable and they offer a great selection from $3.50 to $5.00 on average.
