We are close, Jamie. We strung this (and braced it) for lights. On some SJ's with a top like this, I might suggest mediums, or medium-lights. Of course, your fun will be in experimentation, but we did some A/B-ing with another SJ in the shop today that IS strung with mediums. You guitar spanked the other one.
And your SJ had strings on for what? maybe an hour... Even being a new-born,
it is loud, responsive and balanced. And of all the domestic species we've used, the Osage sounds the most like rosewood so far. Going out on a limb here, but I predict you're going to like this!
