The sound is much more quiet. But tonewise, excellent. Sustain, clarity, separation, depth, all very good.

I have to agree with your characterization of the sound, very well put, not loud but clean and pure. I snagged one used, last week, very pleased. The removable neck joint is an outstanding design, very solid.
