I actually used to have one of those. I never used it for vocals, not guitar. I thought that it did an okay job of warming my vocals for a pretty low price. I think I'd recommend getting what you need to do the recording first, and see how you think things sound without it before adding other equipment. Just my opinion.

And, Fran - I started typing a response to your post, but I've hijacked enough threads the last couple of days I'll just add my thoughts to one of the other threads I'm currently hijacking.
