A few years ago I had a stereo pair of M300's and a stereo pair of Beyerdynamic MC930's and was able to A/B them for a week or so. I play only fingerstyle acoustic, have a fairly light touch and no percussion etc. In the end I kept the MC930's and those are the only mics I use. In my setup, I found them to be a little less bright on the high end, and a bit sweeter in the midrange.
There is a price difference, but that had no impact on my decision. The Beyers just worked better for me.

Some years ago I tried out the MC930 mikes based on reviews. Good mikes.
