We saw the movie "A Star is Born" (with Bradley Cooper and Lady GaGa). It was a
much better movie than I expected. Outstanding soundtrack, and while I'm not a big fan of Lady GaGa, I must say she did a superb job in this movie, as did Bradley Cooper (lead character (Jackson Maine) and director).
There was one scene towards the end where Bobby Maine (Jackson Maine's brother, played by Sam Elliott), sums up music and musicianship pretty simply, but rather poetically:
"There are only 12 notes between any octave, and then the octave repeats. All any artist can offer this world is how they see those 12 notes. That's it.".
Anyway, that quote struck a chord with me (pun intended)!
