Yeah, the sustain on drop-tuned bass notes can be a little ridiculous. I was just noticing today in a certain tune where I'll play an open note on the sixth string (tuned down to C) that I'll eventually need to mute it because it's still ringing on after I've moved to a new tonality on the other strings. Everybody should have my problems. I think that effect might be more noticeable with the Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze strings that I use on it.
