This brings up a couple of points:
- Sometimes power supplies are rated rather conservatively and there is more power available than specified. Strymon have been known to do this.
- Sometimes a 12V output will provide more power than a 9V output, even though both are rated for the same total power in watts.
The takeaway is that if the voltage is in the range of 9V-15V, it's safe to try it. Just be warned that if it is right on the hairy edge, it might work on Monday but not on Tuesday. I've had tech support calls to this effect.
