1) have a sufficient number of guitars in your collection to make it plausible to have guitars they have not seen or recall
2) Keep plenty of cases around that may or may not have guitars in them. This reinforces item1
3) Always take multiple guitars to rehearsal. The new one you picked up while out will just blend in when you load in when you get home
