This can't be anything but good for Guild guitars. Since I've been paying attention, they've really been an importer of mid level, OK, guitars, and they've made a very small amount of guitars in the US.
Yamaha is a very good company with high standards. Even if they do nothing other that raise the level of Guild imports, it will be a good thing. If they can bring Guilds US manufacturing back, it will be good for everyone.
