I don’t own a woody, but I wanted to add a little bit to the excellent advice already given. Just to be clear, the wood veneer is not added after the construction of the guitar, but is part of the original molding process. If you cut through the resin deep enough to damage the wood, you would likely damage the underlying carbon fiber as well.
