I saw those for the first time the other day. Pretty impressive. Cost wise they run triple the cost of student cellos, and etc. But if they meet the needs of concert musicians, well, what a breakthrough!!

I heard a celloist play a carbon fiber cello that was not much more than a stick. It had to be amplified. Sounded pretty good to my untrained ears.

Of course, cellophane and a comb sound good to me...
