Guitar in Reykjavík, Iceland?

I'm heading to Iceland soon. Anyone know of a guitar scene, guitar shops in Reykjavík (or elsewhere) in Iceland?

Thx!
Dave

Got back from 16 days there on July 17th. Went for the hiking and scenery, and did the entire Ring Road, so I didn't check for guitar stores. But I would definitely take good rainwear, and lots of layers! They're having their rainiest summer in 100 years.

With only 400,000 people and almost half living in Reykjavik that's really your only option. Everything there will cost you much more than back home, but you could try Hljordfaeahusud on Sidumuli in Reykjavik.

Martz911 - the Ring Road or Route 1 is a great trip. I've done it and it's one of the nicest road trips anywhere.

Beautiful place. Love it.

Watch out for that one volcano that erupted a few years ago, it was felt in Europe,---I can't spell it, hell even the natives had a hard time pronouncing it!

Fog

P.S. I cheated and looked it up! Eyjafjallajokull, erupted back in 2014.

Just got back (almost - I'm typing this in the wee hours of the morning in an airport in the USA due to a canceled connecting flight).

I did find a decent guitar shop in Reykjavik --> https://www.hljodfaerahusid.is/is but I can't pronounce it! Met a couple cool guys that work there and had a good talk with them. They carried a bunch of Taylor guitars (Taylor requires a substantial inventory in the shop if you're a dealer). Played a 12 fret 312 that was nice.

It's cool how you can make a friend very fast despite coming from different places/cultures when you both play guitar.

Iceland was so beautiful. We spent most of our time driving and hiking. We were blessed with a week of sunshine and no rain. We did have one very windy day that was pretty unreal. Didn't get to see the Northern Lights, but it was still a trip I'll remember forever.

That's the one I mentioned. Glad you found it and liked it.

Sounds like you had a great trip. Beautiful place!

Here's a brief video I made from some of the shots I took while in Iceland...

Wow so many of those places looked familiar but who knows! There is so much of those waterfalls and just breathtaking scenery everywhere you almost can’t believe that every 30 or 45 minutes the entire geography changes over and over again. I highly recommend a week long road trip in this place if anyone gets a chance to. It’s so much fun you won’t even forget about being away from the guitar for a while.

Thanks for posting this video
